On Valentine’s Day, Curtis’ wrestling team headed to their championship match. The girls team last won in 2014, and the boys in 2010. This year was a surprise for those competing since they did not expect to make it to the championship round in the blended division.  ‘’It was really a great run. We went from barely having a team to taking a group of great and hardworking kids all the way to the championships,’’ said Shane Kirk.

The team had an overall record of 9-1. Unfortunately, the team did not take the win against Bronx Science, though they still came in second place. The final score was 53-24 with Bronx Science  taking several key bouts with pins.
