Students travel to Europe
During spring break two groups of fifteen students had the experience of a lifetime. One of the groups traveled to France and the other went to Italy. The trip to France was unusual this year with a group of 14 female student and only one male student. The French exchange students first traveled to Reims and stayed with their students. For the last several days they stayed in a hotel in Paris. They saw everything from the Catacombs to the Eiffel Tower.
“This was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to do it again,” said Brooke Diaz. That’s the response from nearly all of the students. Traveling alone for the first time is hard, but being surrounded by friends and supportive chaperons the home sickness goes away after a couple days.
The Italian exchange students had a similar response. “The highlight of my trip was bonding with my host family during my last few days with them I really felt like a part of their family,” said Frank Lopez. The students traveled to Rome, Florence, and Venice, taking boat tours and seeing the Roman Coliseum.
Overall, no matter which country you choose, from the Netherlands to Spain, from France to Italy, foreign exchange is an amazing experience that should not be missed.
